Mi Casita San Juan, Puerto Rico

Every year I go on a cruise that leaves out of the port of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Its a pretty good routine that we have settled into. We stay at the same hotel and visit a couple of the same eateries every year. One of the places we really enjoy is called Mi Casita. Its a quaint little restaurant in a strip mall, although from the exterior it doesn’t look like any place one would want to eat the place is fantastic. They serve complimentary garlic bread that may be the best I have ever had. personally I like the seafood mofongo (mashed plantains with garlic and olive oil) while my girlfriend enjoys the shrimp sauteed in butter and garlic, with rice and beans. We also down a pitcher or two of Puerto Rican Sangria which is absolutely amazing but be careful its so good you can quickly lose track of how much you have drank. If you are ever in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico make sure you stop at Mi Casita you will not be disappointed.
