Kids love sloppy joes

We did some babysitting the other day so my girlfriend decided to do the cooking for the kids. She decided to go with an old sloppy joe recipe she saw on the internet. I loved these sandwiches as a kid but I don’t remember them being good.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

One lb Ground beef, browned/drained
1/4 cup onion, chopped fine
1/8 cup green pepper, chopped fine
Fifteen oz can tomato sauce
One teaspoon vinegar
One teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
Six oz tomato paste

Mix all the ingredients and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Add water if it’s too thick. Serve on hamburger buns.

We matched these up with some regular run of the mill fries out of the frozen food section.
