Exploring My Options
I don’t know if its because my best friends daughter just recently started up at the University, but lately I have been thinking about going back to school. Aside from the obvious financial benefits of continuing my education, I think it would also give me a great sense of accomplishment.
The only problem is where does one find the time to go back to school. Being that I work 50 or more hours a week, it seems like an impossibility. My only choice would probably be to find something online. First I looked to see if the local University has something online since it seemed to make the most sense, but it doesn’t look as if they do. So, now I am looking at other online accredited universities that specialize in Masters degrees online.
One of the places that caught my eye was Gonzaga University. I first heard of Gonzaga back in the early 80’s because I was a huge college basketball fan and loved to watch John Stockton play for them. I never knew much about the school but it always stuck in my head because of the unusual name.
Now that I am older Gonzaga interests me because its unusual that such a highly rated school would offer the ability to get an online degree. Many of the top schools are reluctant to offer these programs because they feel it lessens their reputations. The truth is, most working professionals don’t have the ability to attain additional education due to the need to earn a living. Its great to see that a university that is rated as one of the absolute best in the country stands at the forefront of a new education renaissance.
