My Cooking Style

At work I always talk about how much I love to cook. People always wonder why I never became a chef or why I don’t seek employment in the culinary arts. The truth is I lack discipline. I have no way of being certain but I do believe one of the best assets of a chef is consistency and discipline. I on the other hand love to stray. It is a rare occurrence where I follow a recipe to the letter. Depending on my mood I will substitute this or that, though never for key ingredients. Sometimes I end up with a masterpiece, other times not so much. So until I can curb my desire to “screw around” I think I will keep my boring job.
