Bennigan’s goes bye bye
In a rather sad turn of evens Bennigan’s restaurants are going bye bye. The chain of restaurants have filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy protection. The filing also includes the Steak and Ale branded restaurants owned by parent company Metromedia Restaurant Group of Plano, Texas. Chapter 7 bankruptcy means that a company is planning on shutting down all operations and liquidating its assets. The company has been in trouble for quite some time but about 2 months ago Metromedia stated that it was not going to file for bankruptcy. I guess they changed there mind since on Tuesday workers at a company owned Bennigan’s in Plano showed up for work only to see a sign that said “WE ARE CLOSED. THANK YOU.”
Now that my friend is a company with integrity.
