Underrated Sandwiches Part 1
The rueben is on of my favorite sandwiches but I am always amazed by how many people have never had one. Corned Beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and russian dressing on rye bread. It doesn’t get any more perfect than that. There are two versions on how the sandwich was created. One version states it was invented in Omaha, Nebraska by Rueben Kulakofsky for members of a weekly poker game held at the Blackstone hotel. The other claims it was invented by Arnold Reuben who once owned Reubens restaurant in New York City. Whichever version you choose to believe isn’t really all that important. What is important is no matter who actually invented the Rueben my hat goes off to you. The Rueben truly is one of the most underrated sandwiches there is.
